"I approached my remix of "Soliloquy" as a combination of temporary in-situ sound installation and field recording. Five micro-compositions were created by isolating, manipulating, and collaging phrases and musical events, more or less confined to a single instrument. I then installed five portable speakers around le Jardin du Crépuscule in Montreal, and recorded these looping micro-compositions with binaural microphones as I walked around the garden, letting them bleed into one another, as well as the ambience of the garden itself. In this way, I aimed to activate both the space and the composition, using my own practice of field recording as a means to reimagine this "Soliloquy" as a dialogue."

I just spent two weeks in Sofia, and they were the most memorable in my life. The music by Stefan Christoff seems to catch the atmosphere I felt when being in this wonderful city - I'm glad to have found this magic music by a great piano player. And so I can warmly recommend these pieces to anyone who loves Sofia/Bulgaria and Keith Jarrett, come to think of. Nicolas
